Refreshing summer cocktail, which gives a fresher taste for common combination of gin and tonic.
Cucumber not only makes the cocktail softer, but in combination with basil, mint, lime and Limoncello it creates an aromatic, rich, tasty drink.

SastāvdaļasIce 40 ml Limoncello 60 ml dry gin 4 basil leaves for cocktail (+ decoration) 3 mint leaves for cocktail (+ decoration) 100 ml tonic 3 long slices fresh cucumber 1 rosemary sprig pink pepper (for decoration)
- Squeeze the juice from 1/2 of lime;
- Place some ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, pour over Limoncello, lime juice, gin and add fresh basil and mint leaves (before you add leaves in a shaker, beat them once between the palms to bring out their essential oils). Shake it well;
- Place a couple of ice cubes in a glass, pour over the mixed cocktail (strain it through a cocktail sieve) and add the tonic;
- Garnish with fresh sliced cucumber, mint and basil leaves, rosemary sprig and pink pepper.
If possible, pre-cool the glass in a freezer.
Slice cucumber lengthwise, not into round slices, so it would be there not only for a good taste, but helps also for presentation.
